Item Description
A shocking and aesthetic specimen of gem heliodor (yellow-green beryl) on a well-placed 2.8 cm aquamarine crystal! Amazing and most unusual. The transition from the 7 mm, golden-amber termination to the grayish-blue body with typically crackly interior and frosted faces is razor sharp and remarkable. The heliodor termination is absolutely water-clear looking down the C-axis. A bit of termination edgewear is noted, but is a very modest detraction. The crystal rests on a heavily etched matrix of smaller aquas and schorl crystals. There is schorl embedded-on and included-in the aqua section. A fascinating miniature beryl of unusual nature from a small one-time find. Fairly valued at $500-700. Ex Charlie Key dealer stock.
