Heliodor

Beryl comes in virtually every color of the rainbow. This particular gem is a good sized, natural (unheated) yellow Heliodor from the Brazilian gem fields. This stone is nearly eye clean, and has good color with a standard "oval step" cut. What's most impressive about this stone, aside from the size, is the fact that it is confirmed naturally occurring Heliodor, and has not been heated to enhance the color. Gem quality Heliodors are becoming more and more difficult to find from Brazil, even rarer than Aquamarines.
