Heliodor

Beryl comes in virtually every color of the rainbow. This particular gem is a decent size, light yellow Beryl (it could possibly be considered a pale Heliodor) from the Brazilian gem fields. This stone is virtually eye clean, and has pale color with a standard "Marquise" cut. What's most impressive about this stone, aside from the size, is the fact that it is confirmed naturually occurring Heliodor, and has not been heated to enhance the color. Gem quality Heliodors are becoming more and more difficult to find from Brazil, even more rare than Aquamarines.
