Item Description
This is a tall, elegant, 5.7-inch gem crystal with VERY good luster,. As is typical for this old classic locality, and this find now repeats, it has a 1 cm or so colorless termination atop, and is complete all around save for a few minor asymmetries (a few small contact points where it grew against other crystals are present as visible in the horizontal photo). Amazingly, the bottom is also terminated, with a beautiful elongated tip showing the same transition to colorlessness at the termination. A small sidecar crystal interrupted growth of the bottom termination, and sticks through it. Although the back face of the main crystal shows a break where a secondary tip broke off (literally the back face, unseen from display view), the secondary crossing crystal is doubly-terminated and complete. Similar pieces have sold for $1000-1500. 49 grams
