Item Description

Hedyphane is what I would call a rare member of the Apatite group, and certainly hard to find from the classic locality at Pribram. This piece is most likely from the Alexander Shaft, but I'm leaving it simply at Pribram because I can't be 100% certain. A handful of fairly sharp, hexagonal crystals can be seen in a seam on this specimen, measuring up to 5-6 mm. This piece is the only one of these specimens that we have to offer, and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value. You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371 A few other labels accompany the piece for further provenance.
