Item Description

The famous mines at Dal'negorsk are renowned for their pseudomorphs, as well as for superb calcite and sulfide specimens. This is an amazingly sculptural large pseudo of green hedenbergite and sparkly drusy quartz after an impressive cluster of large, sharp ilvaite crystals AND a nest of helectites (cave formations that defy gravity)! Complete all around, too! Nearly pristine, with only trivial periphery wear. It looks great from either side and displays well without aid. This unique pseduomorph specimen is from the collection of Dr. Ed David. Ed was Science Advisor to President Nixon and has assembled several world-class mineral collections. Valued at $1000 for rarity and quality. Try to find another!
