Item Description
A RARE and oustanding, heart-twin whewellite crystal from this antique uranium deposit. The glassy crystal has carbonaceous inclusions. Whewellite is a very rare low-temperature primary hydrothermal mineral in carbonate-sulfide veins; it also occurs in geodes, or septarian nodules; is associated with coal measures and surrounding rocks with organic material; and occurs in some uranium deposits. It also occurs as microscopic crystals in living plant cells and as calculi or as a sediment in the human urinary tract. Good crystallized mineral specimens are SELDOM on the market in this quality. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. valued $400
