Item Description

German specimens of Hauyne are among the most desirable and sought after examples of the species extant. The mineral is part of the Sodalite group, and is rarely seen in well-formed crystals over a few mm. This specimen hosts several very small (micro) crystals of Hauyne which are INCREDIBLY gemmy and well-formed with a soft blue color in volcanic host rock matrix. You need some magnification to see them, but they are very attractive up close.
