Hausmannite with Andradite Garnet

A wonderful, showy thumbnail specimen featuring excellent, razor-sharp, highly lustrous, jet-black, pseudo-octahedral Hausmannite crystals associated with soft pinkish-tan colored Andradite Garnet and a few gemmy colorless Calcite crystals from the famous N'Chwaning Mines in South Africa. The Hausmannites are almost stacked like a pagoda tower. These are good quality crystals of this now hard to find material. This piece is at least 15 years old. If you collect minerals of the Kalahari Manganese Field, worldwide oxides or simply fine crystallized examples of minerals, this is a great piece to add to your collection. This isn't a "black rock", but an excellent piece of a species that is rarely seen in good specimens from most world localities.
