Item Description

A rare and fine, old-time miniature pseudomorph from the famous Ilfeld area. Lustrous, gray hausmannite crystals have pseudomorphed a showy, jackstraw cluster of manganite prisms. Uncommon and excellent classic material from this locality. These old pieces came out in about 1865-1890 (per the excellent 2010 Ilfeld article in The Mineralogical Record).
