Intergrown clusters of sharp, splendent, jet-black, tetragonal, hausmannite crystals are nicely set on solid matrix of andradite garnet microcrystals. The bright luster causes these crystals to sparkle even in medium light. An excellent combination specimen by any standard. The worlds finest hausmannites come from the Kalahari manganese field and this is an excellent example.
