Item Description
Hausmannite with Andradite Garnet is a well-appreciated classic combination from the Wessels Mine, but uncommon today. Then, you add a fine, doubly-terminated Calcite to the mix - and you elevate the combination to a whole new level. The Hausmannite is a complex, step-faced octahedron, 1.1 cm on edge, with excellent luster. The red-orange Andradites are sub-mm in size but form nice bigger clusters, and have good luster. They are spread out in rich clusters on the specimen, adding color and interest to the piece. The Calcite is gemmy, doubly-terminated, with excellent luster and form. It has only very minor edgewear Overall, this is piece is aesthetic, and choice for the quality of the combination.
