Item Description
A nice representative piece of what are some of the best Hausmannite crystals in the world, featuring sharp, lustrous, jet-black, pseudo-octahedral crystals measuring to about 1.1 cm from the famous N'Chwaning Mines in South Africa. A bit of associated white Baryte makes for a nice contrast. There are many "best in the world" species from the Kalahari Manganese Field, and I would certainly put the Hausmannite specimens in that class. If you collect worldwide oxides or minerals from South Africa, this is a nice piece to add to your collection.
