Item Description

Hauerite is a very rare manganese sulfide, a member of the Pyrite Group found only a few times in history as good crystals. Two sharp, isometric brown crystals are jauntily set atop the sliver of matrix on this excellent thumbnail. Most hauerite specimens you see are from Italy. Ex Donald Fluck and Art Soregaroli Collections.
