Harmotome w/ Apophyllite (old classic)

Item Description

A showy, excellent and rare, two-sided combination specimen from an uncommon and extinct lead mine - Korsnas, Finland. The bulging "A" side is remarkably accented with clusters of tiny, gem, yellow-green, apophyllite crystals on a field of sharp, pearlescent, grayish-white harmotome crystals to 1.0 cm. Very interestingly, the vug on the "B" is lined with harmotome crystals, many having a pastel-yellow tint. There is only one cluster of gemmy apophyllites in the lower left corner. The Boubee label probably dates to circa 1910.
