Harmotome (fine classic crystals)

Item Description

Here we have an eye-catching small cabinet display specimen of the famous Harmotomes from the Strontian area in Scotland. The Bellsgrove Quarry has produced some of the finest examples of this obscure Zeolite mineral extant. The crystals on this specimen are notably sharp and lustrous with perfect monoclinic form and range from gemmy (the tiny ones certainly are close to being transparent) to slightly translucent. The largest crystal measures 8 mm at its longest dimension. This one is a real beauty for Harmotome with virtually no damage and excellent displayability. The crystals looks great up close.
