Item Description
A classic, old-time specimen of lustrous, pearlescent Harmotome crystals to 1.8 cm, on matrix, from the Bellsgrove Mine at Strontian, Scotland. Harmotome is a rare zeolite mineral and these bone-white, euhedral crystals are sharp and attractive. New ones came out recently in the late 1990s, but the older ones, to my mind, are better as they have more robust and isolated crystals as you see here. A fine specimen, and even better in person. Old labels included. Originally priced at $650 over a decade ago - such a piece should be worth much more today!.
