Item Description
Surprising and unusual combination material from Stak Nala, source of Pakistan's finest tourmalines. Hambergite, a Be-borate, is a rare accessory mineral in gem pegmatites and is rare from the famous bi-colored tourmaline pegmatites at Stak Nala. A sharp, 3.5 cm, hambergite twin with frosted faces is nicely set on the edge of minature. The hambergite rests on a matrix of microcrystalline lepidolite and a glassy quartz crystal fragment. The SURPRISE is partially hidden by a lepidolite coating. A 1.6 cm classic, terminatted, bi-colored green and pink tourmaline with a VERY broad green base rests against the quartz crystal. The bit of scuffing on the hambergite is certainly only a modest detraction. The back is contacted, but there is no damage, per se. An adorable, rare and unusual looking combination from the Herb Obodda dealer stock.
