Item Description
Hambergite is a rare accessory mineral in gem pegmatites and is EXTREMELY RARE from the famous bi-colored tourmaline pegmatites at Stak Nala. Two gemmy crystals, to 1.9 cm, with beautiful symmetrical, orthorhombic form are attractively set on one side of the stunning, sculptural, two-sided combination piece. This side also hosts a 2.0 cm, triangular, drusy quartz-coated, schorl crystal. The gemmy, doubly terminated quartz crystals are more clearly revealed on this side. The other side has amazing form and beauty. The three sharp, clean quartz peaks are dramatically lined up and have fantastic, preferential, drusy quartz "snow" on the prism faces. The white spot on the large quartz is internal. No external damage. Coated, sharp, orthoclase variety adularia crystals and bladed albite variety cleavelandite finish out this dramatic view. Complete all-around and in great shape, with only the two largest quartz tips having just a bit of bruising. Spectacular and rare combination material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued at $1000-1250.
