Item Description

Please note: This specimen came to us with a dealer label stating that it was Halite with inclusions of Paratacamite. I have seen Halite specimens from Poland in the past which get their green color from Atacamite ( https://www.mindat.org/photo-814755.html ), and I can say that I found a report online which states Łukasz Kruszewski confirmed Paratacamite via PXRD analysis from the R-IX shaft in Polkowice County in 2018, so it's quite possible that this piece does contain Paratacamite. The color is so alluring in person, it doesn't come through in the video as well as it does when you hold it in your hand. I can best describe it as a medium emerald green, which is slightly muted due to the fact that it's slightly diffused inside of the colorless Halite cubes. What really sets this piece apart is the fact that the crystals are not a tightly intergrown mass, but they have notable distinction in between, allowing the viewer to isolate each cube, and appreciate the sublime aesthetics and three-dimensional quality of the piece. The Halites are lustrous, sharp, well-formed and gemmy, and measure up to 2.9 cm on edge. The piece sits and displays wonderfully as you can see, and would make a fantastic addition to any collection of halides, minerals with inclusions or specimens from Europe/Poland.
