Item Description
A large, single, GEMMY, colorless, blocky cubic Halite crystal from an unknown locality. The label states it's either from New Mexico or Germany, but that's unfortunately not terribly specific. No associated minerals or matrix to try to help identify it's origin either. The most important aspect of the specimen however is that it features THREE MOVING WATER BUBBLE inclusions, which is exceptionally rare in my experience with Halite. We did our best to photograph them, and you can watch a quick video of them moving here ( https://youtu.be/KeqvTE4smYQ ). Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9101). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
