Item Description

A DRAMATIC and VERY SHOWY CABINET plate of STRIKING, lustrous, water-clear, light lavender, interpenetrating halite (rock salt) cubes to 2.3 cm artfully strewn on a solid halite matrix plate covered with smaller, lavender to golden-brown halite cubes. The large cubes are lightly etched, giving them a beautiful, shimmering appearance. This EXCELLENT, LARGE and essentially pristine specimen is from a VERY UNCOMMON for the species Polish locality - Lubin, Lower Silesia. Lubin is more well-known for its copper mines. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection, who lived and worked in Poland, when he bought this.
