Item Description

This weird-looking, rare and dramatic specimen is from the most famous, and possibly the oldest underground salt mine in the world. Lustrous, hoppered salt cubes are intensely corroded, leaving pedestal-like forms with amazing shape. The large form looks like a music stand. The color is off-white to tan and the specimen has a satiny finish. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection # 540 and acquired in Warsaw in September, 1998. Unusual and striking halite.
