Halite (stalactite)

Item Description

A beautiful and unusual stalactitic group of white Halite forming a really cool "unicorn's horn"-shaped group from the evaporate environment of Searles Lake. I'm told that collecting at this locality is limited to only a few hours per year. Wen you look at the base of the specimen you can see the core with the banded layered rings. If you collect oddities or strange minerals be sure to pick this one up. I don't think there are many around. I've only seen a handful of these specimens over the years.
