Item Description

A classic and dramatic, CABINET, halite (salt) specimen from the famed Salton Sea. The translucent cubes have a waxy luster and and tan with nifty pastel-pink zoning. The striking, large hoppered cube is 8.5 cm, while many smaller cubes are not hoppered. Salton Sea halites are rare and seldom on the market, especially in this size and impressive quality. The large hoppered cube looks like the lintel of a Mayan temple entrance. Ex Dennis Mullane Collection, and comes with an older faded label. This piece definitely has several display possibilities.
