Item Description
This specimen is part of the 2021 Dallas Mineral Collecting Symposium benefit auction, with proceeds benefiting Mineralogical Record, Rocks & Minerals, Tucson Gem and Mineral Society, and mindat.org. Thanks to all of our participants!

A dramatic vertical stalk of Halite, forming sharp crystals and perfect cubes. This is an absolute European classic, and a mineral classic as well, which is good for any collection as it is the right size and a nice vertical style for display. Interestingly, this is one half the specimen pictured twice in an old issue of the Mineralogical Record, Vol. 45, Mar-Apr, 2014 on page 258; and also in Mineralien Welt, June of 2010. The specimen perhaps was repaired and since that time, unrepaired and displayed separately as each half made for a much better size and style in a showcase. ex Stuart Wilensky, Donation to the Symposium Auction
