This is a monster-sized Halite crystal from the famous salt mines of Poland, that just startles people when they think about how large a natural halite can grow! Although somewhat worn (probably by natural water action in the pockets), and with some edge wear as shown in photos, it is nevertheless a good impact piece and reference specimen of such an important economic mineral species. It is hard to find these on the market in such size, in part because of their softness and sensitivity to humid environment. It must be stored in a bag or in a cool, dry, not humid, air conditioned environment. 5 pounds!
