Item Description

When it comes to Halite, the species is found at many worldwide localities around the world in a myriad of colors. With that said, it's not often to find crystals of this size with such a pleasing color and near WATER CLEAR transparency. This piece is a notably big and thick crystal section of these now famous world-class Halites featuring thin indigo colored "bands" cutting through the colorless areas of the specimen. No matrix, so you can light the piece from all sides, and although it's not 100% complete, it still shows several textbook cubic faces on several sides. A really impressive, colorful and fine quality example of what it essentially crystallized table salt! These pieces seem to be harder and harder to find on the market now, so if you've always wanted one and missed out on them a few years ago, be sure to pick this one up for a great price.
