Item Description
A spectacular, natural Cubist Modern Art sculpture of stacked, intergrown halite cubes from the most famous, and possibly the oldest underground salt mine in the world - the Wieliczka Mine, Poland. The almost transparent, yet separate cubes are up to 4.4 cm. The sharp crystals are colorless and have a satiny/lightly frosted finish. You can see the growth planes within the crystals. A pristine floater cluster! Neon-orange fluorescence. Ex Dave Stoudt Collection # 579 and purchased in Krakow in August, 1999. Who said salt can"t be aesthetic???
