Item Description

This rare and showy halite specimen is from the most famous, and possibly the oldest underground salt mine in the world - the Wieliczka Mine, Poland. It features a sculptural cluster of intergrown, yet separate, almost transparent cubes of halite measuring up to 2.5 cm across. The crystals are colorless and they have a distinct melted look with a satiny/lightly frosted finish. It is truly classic for the locality and very visually impressive as well. SUPER orange fluorescence. Ex Howard Belsky Collection.
