Item Description
Rare and sculptural halite from a large underground salt mine beneath the City of Detroit. Two generations of halite compose this dramatic tapered piece. Striking large blocky transparent crystals, to 3.0 cm, with frosted satin luster faces dominate the narrow end and rest atop a fantastic intergrown cluster of stacked, icicle-like crystals. Complete all-around with multiple super display views. It looks like an ice Christmas tree in one view! It looks great from either direction! Choice and rare Michigan halite from the Robert Nowakowski Collection # 83. Hot pink SW UV fluorescence. A MUST for the species, locality or Urban collector.
