Item Description
A ridiculously rare specimen of Hakite from the uranium deposit at Predborice, Czech Republic. The piece is polished and shows areas of grey Hakite with associated grey Clausthalite. Hakite is named after Jaroslav Hak a Czech mineralogist. This is one of only a handful of pieces of this species that we've seen, and comes with a classic label from Josef Vajdak / Pequa Rare Minerals, which immediately increases the value. According to the label from Vajdak, the piece was collected in 1971. Nearly impossible to replace on the market. You can read Joe's biography here: http://www.minrec.org/labels.asp?colid=1371
