Gypsum with Copper inclusions

Arizona has produced a good number of iconic and beautiful mineral specimens. The wonderful Gypsum specimens featuring Copper inclusions from the Mission Mine (which lies about forty miles southwest of Tucson) are some of the most interesting mineral specimens from Arizona in my opinion. They are not only distinctive, but to the best of my knowledge, singular in the mineral world in terms of their form and appearance. I can't remember seeing Gypsum crystals like this included with Copper from any other world locality. This small cabinet specimen features a partial crystal of colorless translucent Gypsum, and with a bit of backlighting, you can see brilliant reddish to brown dendritic growths of Native Copper floating within! Now the piece is not pristine, which can be said about virtually all of these specimens, but it's still a good overall example of these strange and captivating specimens. If you collect minerals of Arizona or "inclusion" minerals, this is a good piece to add to your collection.
