Item Description

Intergrown dramatic stellate sprays of sand-included gypsum blades form a sculptural and aesthetic large 3-dimensional, 360-degree specimen from this famous Oklahoma locale. The stout blades on the impressive piece reach 9.2 cm (doubly terminated), most blades have the subtle desirable "hour-glass" form with clear edges and sand-included interiors and all of the crystals have embedded secondary sand grains, adding pizzazz. The jackstraw blades at one end are amazing! Unusually pristine, amazing for such a soft mineral! Classic Jet gypsum from the Joe Lobell Collection. Joe is a well-known retired dealer and field collector of Oklahoma and Texas material. The quality on this large one is top percentile and is the last one from the lot we acquired when his collection was sold off. INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT not possible on this one, sorry.
