Item Description
Striking intergrown stellate sprays of sand-included gypsum blades form an aesthetic and sculptural large 3-dimensional, 360-degree specimen from this famous Oklahoma locale. The stout blades on the impressive piece reach 7.8 cm (doubly terminated), some blades have the desirable "hour-glass" form with clear edges and sand-included interiors and all of the crystals have embedded secondary sand grains, adding pizzazz. The spray on one end looks a striking 6-bladed propeller! Essentially pristine, amazing for such a soft mineral! Classic Jet gypsum from the Joe Lobell Collection. Joe is a well-known retired dealer and field collector of Oklahoma and Texas material. The quality on this large one is over the top.
