Item Description
A classic and dramatic, large forest of gypsum blades from this well-known Australian locale. The prisms are up to 7.0 cm long and are tinted by iron oxides. A secondary, preferential overgrowth of smaller gypsum crystals really adds character of this fine, two-sided piece. The large, fish tail twin really stands out! This piece is in near pristine condition, amazing for such a soft mineral, with only one broken blade near the periphery. Outstanding material from the Robert Whitmore Collection.
