Item Description
This is one of the best specimens of GEM GRADE Selenite that we've had to offer from the Fengjiashan Mine in China. Gypsum specimens of this quality are incredibly hard to find on the market, as they were mined in the early 2000s. This attractive small cabinet specimen hosts a group of WATER-CLEAR, very sharp, lustrous, completely colorless, "sword"-shaped crystals of Gypsum (var: Selenite) measuring 6.4 cm at its widest dimension sitting on minor oxidized matrix. The Gypsum itself is in good condition, though there is a separation mark on the reverse side where it was either attached to another Gypsum crystal or possibly the pocket wall. A fantastic representation of this high quality material. If you like Gypsum, then these specimens are a must-have for your collection. Priced at $2,450 in the inventory.
