A sculptural and highly attractive cluster of uncommon Gypsum crystals from this old, extinct Cu-Ni-Ag district in Germany. The Selenites are gemmy through and through, and the variation of the crystal faces really highlight that clarity. The main faces are glassy and clear, creating perfect windows, while the minor faces and the terminations are frosted, creating a beautiful and soft contrast. The largest crystal is 3.7 cm, and the form and mix of the crystals complement each other well. A fascinating, old Gypsum from this famous German locality, with a gorgeous aesthetic made even more so by the simplicity and grace of the piece. And fluorescent!
