Item Description
A notably sharp, translucent to gemmy, colorless well-formed "fishtail" twinned crsytal group of Gypsum (var: Selenite) free of matrix. The piece is well-formed, doubly-terminated, and has only a tiny bit of damage. It's quite attractive up close. Great old historic material from this now closed world famous locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#22347). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
