Item Description
Mineral specimens of ANY type are EXTREMELY RARE from this Texas county located just west of College Station, home of Texas A&M University. Tertiary-aged sediments comprise the county. This is a rare, superb and sculptural old-time gypsum twin from the Paterson Museum Collection. Waxy luster blocky, coated and included crystals with water-clear to frosted faces comprise this striking 'X' twin. Texas is generally known as a mineral specimen wasteland, except for Terlingua, Hill Country topaz and rare earth species and celestine specimens. This is certainly a rare and fine old exception! A MUST for the Texas or species collector!
