Item Description

This piece comes from an old East Coast collection, originally in the collection of J. N. Trainer, and with an historic label from the legendary mineral dealer, Hugh A. Ford. Since the label has Ford's New York address it dates to 1946-1957. Notably sharp, translucent, golden orange colored well-formed crystals (including "fishtail" twins) of Gypsum measuring up to 5.1 m can be seen all over this beautiful specimen. Only a tiny bit of damage, and SO attractive up close. Great old historic material from this now closed world famous locality.
