Item Description
Three dramatically diverging, classic, water-clear, terminated selenite (gypsum) "swords" are artistically set on the large sculptural matrix of small selenite crystals from the famous mines at Santa Eulalia. The gem, tabular blades are typically striated and have satin luster faces. The highly angled prow-like crystal is 7.0 cm long and the two more upright prisms are 7.7 and 4.5 cm long. The curved tip on the small blade adds much character. This visually appealing 360-degree specimen is in great shape, for such a soft mineral. A light bruise to the tip of the 4.5 cm blade and a broken secondary selenite crystal are certainly only modet detractions to this very showy gypsum from the noted locale.
