Item Description
Intergrown, doulbly terminated, water-clear, gypsum crystals are aesthetically set on matrix to form a striking and aesthetic combination specimen from Santa Eulalia. The cluster is 6.4 cm long. Sparkly, golden iridescent pyritoehdrons are peppered on the sugary calcite rhombs, which is underlain by sphalerite. The selenites are nearly pristine, amazing for such a soft mineral. A bit of gentle bruising is noted to the terminations on the periphery. Classic and very fine combination matrix Santa Eulalia selenite from the Cynthia Payne Collection. The calcite fluoresces a modest orange.
