Item Description

A classic specimen of the fairly well known yet hard to find examples of Gypsum pseudomorphing after Glauberite from Camp Verde. This piece is a semi-"rose" which features excellent, remarkably distinct, sharp, well-formed crystals with an almost porcelain-esque white exterior. The original habit of the tabular Glauberite crystals is completely preserved by the Gypsum. The largest individual crystal measures 7.1 cm across. A small amount of attached matrix can be seen, but the piece is crystallized all over, and is close to being a complet "floater".
