Item Description
Camp Verde is famous for gypsum and calcite pseudomorphs after the uncommon sulfate glauberite. This is an excellent, 360-degree cluster of pearlescent gypsum after sharp, blocky, rhombohedral-like glauberite crystals to 6.5 cm. Self-collected by Evan Jones in 2006. NOTE - some of these have tested to be calcite in the past, I was told. this one doesn't fizz in acid and I can scratch it with my fingernail, so it is gypsum, after all, as advertised
