Item Description

A classic and very showy specimen of the famous golden gypsum (selenite) from Las Salinas, Peru. The piece hosts two, dominating, very sharp, GEM quality, lustrous, thin, fish-tail-twinned crystals of gypsum (to 2.8 cm) which are associated with a myriad of smaller disk-like blades of golden gypsum sitting on a mounded, white/colorless, cubic, gemmy, halite crystal matrix. A beautiful display specimen in excellent shape of this now hard to find material. Ex Zukowski Collection.
