Gypsum variety selenite of this quality is seldom-seen from the famous quarries at Lockport, New York. It looks like a classic Naica piece, but is not. The striking, water-clear, 6.7 cm blade is aesthetically in front of a vug filled with pearlescent, pastel-pink, saddle-shaped, dolomite rhombs on limestone matrix The selenite has a fabulous, stepped-growth, rippled termination.
