Item Description
Beautiful golden gypsum crystals to 3 cm spray out from a core, in this unusually balanced specimen for the size range that comes from the huge collection of Jack Halpern (he would have bought this when they came out, nearly 20 years ago). These are now very hard to obtain, especially in this quality. Radial and complete, aesthetic clusters like this rather than flat plates. This find is generally regarded as among best of species for minerals, for the color and shocking luster and clarity, and fine miniatures and small cabinets have recently been going for prices in the $2000-4000 range.
