Item Description

These came out only in the late 1980s into the early 1990s, and were once available on the market - no longer! A huge, open vug in massive gypsum is festooned with dozens of glassy and gemmy, champagne colored crystals of gypsum var. selenite, to 3.5 cm in length. This is easily one of the most spectacular specimens from this deposit we have seen in awhile. It looks like a cave of gems, and sparkles so nicely. Seldom do we get a complete (and mailable, though I would prefer to arrange hand delivery) pocket preserved of this material. The selenite crystals fluoresce a lovely lemony-cream-white color as a bonus under UV light. Simply amazing! 3 pounds weight.
