Gypsum (fluorescent floater)

Item Description

Impressive floater gypsum small cabinet from this well-known Manitoba locale. Larger gemmy and lustrous amber and smaller crystals dramatically project out in all directions from the ball on this 360-degree specimen. The large blades, to 2.5 cm, have fine color add and some are striking "fishtail twins" adding real character to the piece. This fine floater is nearly pristine with only trivial edge wear. Ghostly white LW UV fluorescence. Classic and excellent Red River Floodway gypsums like this came out in the 1980s and early 1990s. Every turn presents a strikingly different perspective on these unusual floater specimens.
